For current county custody, start with the SCSO Jail Roster. For a maintained booking record or booking-photo request, write to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and ask for existing records under the Texas Public Information Act. No dedicated county photo-request form, records-counter hours, fixed local fee, or turnaround was found in the research. Call before visiting or delivering a request.

The official SCSO divisions page identifies Jail Administrator Tiffany Curry, but it does not establish a separate public booking-records unit. Ask the office to direct a written request to the correct custodian and request a cost estimate before charges are incurred.
Which Office Holds the Record?
Choose the record holder by the question being asked, rather than assuming that every arrest is a county-jail record.
- Current county custody: use the SCSO Jail Roster and contact SCSO if a time-sensitive result is unclear.
- Booking or arrest records: request existing material from SCSO or the arresting agency.
- Case and disposition: County Clerk Jennifer Fountain, 124 Austin Street, Center, 936-598-6361, or the appropriate district, justice, or municipal clerk.
- District-court records: District Clerk Dee Dee Green, 200 San Augustine Street, Suite B, Center, 936-598-4164, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- State-prison record: use TDCJ inmate information. TDCJ does not provide inmate photographs to the public.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator for the applicable custody system.
Center, Timpson, and Tenaha municipal citations can be separate from a county jail booking. Timpson's official city materials direct warrant questions to the County Clerk at 936-598-6361.
